There is a buzz of anticipation surrounding Spiderman 3, which is due to be released on May 4th, 2007. Director Sam Raimi has kept Spiderman fans guessing with this one. He has revealed precious little about the plot or the characters and so there are a lot of wild guesses floating around about possible villains and how they are meted out divine justice.

There is a buzz of anticipation surrounding Spiderman 3, which is due to be released on May 4th, 2007. Director Sam Raimi has kept Spiderman fans guessing with this one. He has revealed precious little about the plot or the characters and so there are a lot of wild guesses floating around about possible villains and how they are meted out divine justice. Going by its antecedents, Spiderman 3 is sure to transport global audiences to thrilling new heights when it released in theatres everywhere. Even though the scheduled release date is a long way away, Spiderman 3 seems to be holding its own as compared to either Superman Returns or X3, both of which are also scheduled to be released in 2007. This is attributed to the fact that the original director of the Spiderman series, Sam Raimi, has stuck around for the third film, giving it the same excitement and entertainment quotient as the Spiderman 1 and 2.

In Spiderman 3, Peter Parker has finally found a happy middle ground between his duties as superhero and his devotion to MJ. His public life as Spiderman is going great guns as he basks in the glory of newfound adulation and admiration. In his private life, he and Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) rival for MJ’s affections.

Trouble soon comes knocking in the form of Sandman and Venom, two of the most feared villains, played by Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace respectively. Their unparalleled power and desire for revenge threaten Peter and everyone he loves and he faces the battle of his life. Spiderman 3 is a complex, tangled web of vengeance, lies, forgiveness and love and is sure to be as thrilling as the previous Spiderman movies.
